This is NVQ Level 2 qualification. This programme will give successful students the skill and knowledge of accounting and also the opportunity to progress their studies in AAT Advanced Certificate, Diploma stage and full membership of the AAT.
Course Syllabus
  • Unit-1 (RIAR) Recording Income and Receipts (Skills Test)
  • Unit-2 (MARP) Making and Recording Payments (Skills Test)
  • Unit-3 (PLB) Preparing Ledger Balances and an Initial Trial Balance (Skills Test & Exam)
  • Unit-4 (SIMC) Supplying Information for Management Control (Skills Test)
  • Unit-21 (WWC) Working with Computers (Skills Test)
  • Unit-22 (HSPE) Contribute to the Maintenance of a Healthy, Safe and Productive Environment (Skill Test)
  • Unit-23 (APE2) Achieving Personal Effectiveness (Skills Test)

Computer Based Exams (CBE) :

From July 2009 the AAT is offering students the opportunity to attempt certain exams by Computer Based Exams.  At present CBEs are available for the following units:

  • Unit 30 Introductory accounting (IAC)
  • Unit 3 Preparing ledger balances (PLB)
  • Unit 5 Maintaining financial records and preparing accounts (FRA)
  • Unit 6 Recording and evaluating costs and revenues (ECR)

We are delighted to offer the facility to sit a CBE for these units at our training centre. FAQ regarding CBE can be found here.

  • Send the completed registration form with deposit amount of £100 by cheque to our Alperton Centre. Balance is payable in three easy instalments.

Eligibility for Free Courses

Are you redundant or under notice of being redundant, we can offer you a free course under My Job My Future Scheme.

There are no minimum requirement to do the course. The qualification is ideally suited to a diverse range of people from school leavers to mature learners and career changers.

You should be working in Accounts to do this course.

What will you learn

This level will start to develop your skills in  double entry bookkeeping and give you an understanding of management and administrative processes. You'll learn how to use manual and computerised accounting systems and to work with the purchase ledger, sales ledger and general ledger.

Trainers
The training will be provided by qualified trainers who have vast knowledge and practical experience.
Qualifications
You will be awarded with a Level 2 certificate from Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) once you have passed the exams and skill tests.
