The CAT qualification will provide you with a solid foundation in finance and accounting. You will learn all the necessary technical skills and knowledge required to perform an accounting-support role. And after passing the CAT exams, you’ll be able to gain exemptions from the ACCA Qualification.
Course Syllabus

INTRODUCTORY LEVEL
1 Recording Financial Transactions
2 Information for Management Control

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
3 Maintaining Financial Records
4 Accounting for Costs

ADVANCED LEVEL

5 Managing People and Systems
6 Drafting Financial Statements
7 Planning, Control and Performance Management
plus two options from:
8 Implementing Audit Procedures
9 Preparing Taxation Computations
10 Managing Finances

Examinations :
Students have the choice of sitting either computer-based or paper-based exams at both Introductory and Intermediate levels but paper based at advanced level. Computer based examination can be taken at any time during the year however, paper-based exams are held twice a year – in June and December
Practical experience :
You will need to gain one-year’s practical experience as per requirements of ACCA so as to use the letters CAT after your name.

Practical training can be completed in any size or type of business, and in any combination of sectors, before, during or after completing the exams. Previous qualifications may also entitle you to claim exemption from the practical experience requirement, for example, completion of an NVQ level 4 in Accounting.

Payment Options : Full course
Deposit : £100 and balance in 3 instalments.

There are no formal academic qualifications necessary to register for the CAT qualification. However your previous qualifications may entitle you to exemptions from some of the CAT exams.

Course Commencement

• Introductory level courses commence twice per year
• Intermediate and advanced level courses commence twice per year

Duration :

• Introductory and
Intermediate Levels : 15 weeks
• Advanced level : 22 to 24 weeks

Timing Options : Weekend / Daytime / Evening

(All the students attend classes for 8 hours per week.)
